Reg: G271 WVK My beloved Saab 900 5 door in Iridium Blue was stolen from outside my house last night, in Bishopston, Bristol last night. A small amount of auto glass on the pavement tells me they smashed the quarter light to gain access. This is not easy to replace so will no doubt stay like that for a while. It had a heavy duty chain through the steering wheel, and round the seat fixings, so bolt cutters will have been needed. Notable characteristics are driver leather seat stitching coming apart, and a circular burn on the back seat. possibly a magnifying glass left there on a hot day. Mileage 170 thou, not bad for an old girl. Chris Marshall. OR LEAVE A MESSAGE HERE.
Thank you very much to all who helped with this, the message certainly seemed to go out far and wide.
Sadly it has not turned up as yet. The Insurance Company have asked for the keys and log book and now the subject of value will be need to be argued.
I had an agreed value of £2,800 for many years, I stupidly didn't bother to increase this even after having the gearbox rebuilt by Jam Saab a few years back, and new steering rack, ignition system, roof lining and sunfoof motor.
My fault, I just never did get round to it.
Any suggestions to what it's value should have been? I'm sure it will not be easy but I will put it to the Insurers.
